2 Reported Dead In Lackland, Texas Air Force Base Shooting (VIDEO/TWEETS)

In what may be this year’s first fatal shooting incident on a military base, two have been confirmed dead by police on Lackland Air Force Base, about 160 miles from Fort Hood which in 2009 was the site of the deadliest shooting at a US military base, when 13 people were killed and 31 were injured.

The Lackland shooting appears to be, at this time, a murder/suicide but the police are still determining whether or not the shooter is one of the deceased. There is little information available at this time other than two more lives were lost, in a place that should be safe, and a firearm or firearms were used to accomplish that loss of life.

The Bexar County Sheriffs office tweeted this morning that they were clearing buildings:

Just another day in America, folks, nothing to see here. More death, more senseless violence, and more social media traffic.

When are we going to say enough is enough and admit we have a problem in the USA with gun violence?
