WATCH: Orangutan Adopts Tiger Cubs, Forms Unbelievable Bond In Nature (VIDEO)

An orangutan at Myrtle Beach Safari in South Carolina has taken over parental responsibilities for three tiger cubs and adopted them.

In what is perhaps one of the most adorable 33 second clips ever, you can see this orangutan feed and play with the baby tigers. What’s perhaps most telling about this, is that in the wild these two species are considered natural enemies.

Robert Johnson, a senior trainer at the preserve, said that Suryia started to show interest in the little furry fellas after he noticed how humans were treating them.

He started mimicking the human care giving behaviors and became very connected to the mothering process, which is particularly interesting for a male orangutan.

As the saying goes: “Monkey see, monkey do.”

The cubs in the video are all one to two months in age. They like being fed by Suryia and have become just as attached to him.

Interestingly, Suryia is also the world’s only swimming orangutan.
