Fox News recently asked the question, “where does [Donald Trump’s] support come from, where has it been coming from?” and brought out Dr. Keith Ablow, a republican psychiatrist, to explain the “Rise of Trump.” Dr. Ablow proceeded to explain that it is Obama’s fault that the adult infants, are flocking to Trump’s pointless mantra “Make America Great Again.”
Ablow opened his nationalistic and clearly partisan rant with a direct accusation of President Barack Obama:
Well, listen, I think the main reason is one thing: Barack Obama. Barack Obama fed America a bunch of lies about how we are terrible people, he went on apology tours, attended a church where the preacher was preaching terrible things about America.
This statement runs the gamut from emotional opinion to loose correlation but clearly indicates one thing: this man is an American Exceptionalist, a nationalist and one who appears to actually cause the stereotypes associated with the negative aspect of this ideological pillar of fascism. He even states clearly that Trump is a nationalist.
He goes on to imply that in order to be a “real American” like Trump, one must have many businesses and be successful. Imagine what it would take for a psychologist to assert this: lack of wealth (or at least, lack of seeking wealth ruthlessly) makes you somehow less of an American. Not, America is a great country where you can choose to seek wealth, but in America, if you are not rich or trying to get rich then you aren’t a real American. Mind-boggling, isn’t it?
He also doesn’t miss the chance to stick it to the Republicans that “allowed” Barack Obama to make this happen. It is partially their fault, not the entire party’s, just theirs! If these naughty members of the Grand Obstructionist Party had somehow stopped the president’s challenge to the status quo of white, Christian, American supremacy then none of this would have happened.
Why does watching Fox commentators feel like accidentally walking into a KKK rally and listening to the hooded Christian anti-equality groups keynote speaker?
How does this psychiatrist not realize that he sounds like an abusive boyfriend? There are so many red flags here it is insane – the nationalistic bullies are threatening America with fascism because we were starting to grow up.

His entire segment sounds like this: “Well, if that uppity President of ours would have just encouraged the belief that being born on this part of this continent somehow makes us intrinsically better than people born in other geographic locations, then we wouldn’t have to be asserting our dominance violently and emotionally like this. It really is his fault we are going to hurt America, not ours. His. So that is why we support Trump. Don’t make this harder than it has to be.”
Gee, no shock on his support base at all.
