NRA Convention Isn’t Even Pretending Not To Be Racist And Sexist Anymore (VIDEO)

One of the most unholy marriages in this country is not between a man and a man; it’s not between a man and a woman. One of the most unholy alliances is between the Republican party and the National Rifle Association.

Over the last few years, the NRA leadership, including Wayne LaPierre and board member Ted Nugent, have represented the ugliest that this country has to offer.

Their racism toward the sitting American President is veiled in aged tissue paper. Now that President Obama is rounding out his final term, there’s a very good chance that a woman will be the next president and Wayne LaPierre isn’t even bothering with the veil. He’s gone full-on racist and sexist.

At a speech in front of the NRA convention, LaPierre continued to parrot the myth that Obama is somehow going to take everyone’s guns away during his last two years.

After talking about how Obama is going to transform the country into something they don’t recognize (you do know that’s code, right?), he transitioned to Hillary Clinton, saying, “eight years of one demographically symbolic President is enough.”

This, of course, pleased the symbolically white male demographic at the NRA convention very much. The NRA, he assured them, would make sure that they elect a president who shares their values (again, code for no vagina and no natural tan).
