Ann Coulter, who has been a staunch supporter of Donald Trump and his bigoted campaign, had a total meltdown when the Republican nominee flip-flopped on immigration and said he wouldn’t be shipping out all the icky immigrants she detests so strongly.
Coulter had backed Trump (and his wall) so strongly that she just recently published a book called In Trump We Trust. In this pro-Trump tome, Coulter declared that “there’s nothing Trump can do that won’t be forgiven… except change his immigration policies.”
And that is exactly what he did on Wednesday night.
Speaking to Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Wednesday night, Trump said he would consider letting illegal immigrants stay in the country as long as they paid back taxes. During the town hall event, he added that it would be “really hard” to round up and deport people who have been living here for years.
This was too much for Coulter and she promptly lost her sh*t all over Twitter. In an angry rant, she mocked his latest stance on immigration and compared his new policies to the “amnesty” proposals he slammed his rivals for during the primaries.
And for good measure, Coulter tossed in this retweet:
It looks like now that he isn’t planning to round up all the immigrants and boot them out of the country, Coulter doesn’t trust in Trump quite as much as she did when she penned her latest literary masterpiece. (Insert sarcasm here.) Chances are, a lot of his racist alt-right supporters feel the same way and he will face a backlash from the rest of his bigoted base as well.
