What Ice T Did When Trump’s Team Called Him To Perform Inauguration Has Whole Internet Laughing (TWEETS)

UPDATE: Ice T says he was kidding. He got jokes.

Donald Trump and his Presidential Inauguration Committee are having a very difficult time getting talent to perform at the inauguration. According to sources inside the operation, they are even offering to pay people – which NEVER happens. Typically, just the opportunity and the honor of being chosen for such an event is traditionally payment enough. The opposite is happening with Trump, though, and artists everywhere are saying the same thing regarding their feelings on being booked to swear Trump in: NOT A CHANCE IN HELL.

It seems that the latest artist to be tapped for the gig is rapper and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit star Ice T. He tweeted what he did when he got the call:

Of course, the interwebs eagerly lapped this reaction up, and brutally mocked Trump. Here are just some of the better tweets:

And those are just the beginning. Trump needs to face facts: He ran a campaign of hatred and bigotry that unleashed white supremacy and mainstreamed it. No decent person wants to go anywhere near that, no matter the price tag. At this rate, the inauguration will look just like the Republican National Convention, and will be the most embarrassing event of its kind in modern history.

And Trump may just have to take Ice T’s advice and settle for a has-been like Ted Nugent.
