Chuck Todd has proven that he doesn’t deserve his venue on Meet the Press. Trying to be “fair and balanced” like Fox News, Todd continually pushes narratives that have little to do with reality or anything else other than ratings. As Sunday news shows go, you might just get better information over at Fox with Chris Wallace.
Well, that may be a bit extreme, but you get the point.
This week’s example of Todd being an asshat came when he had the chance to talk to Democratic superstar of the week Elijah Cummings, whose impassioned speech in the committee hearings Thursday are shaping up to be the catalyst that will allow the American people to see the full transcripts of the Benghazi hearings.
Rather than talk about how significant that is, Todd instead decided to attack Secretary Clinton with an email to her daughter and a question about the never-ending “issue” of focus for the GOP: The video.
After all of the allegations of incompetence have been thwarted, fictional stand-down orders and video feeds and early bedtimes during the attack have been debunked and the Secretary and her staff cleared of wrongdoing, the witch hunters still have this video thing.
Was it a video or was it an attack? In the first weeks or so it was unclear. In some people’s opinions it still is unclear. There’s really only one relevant question about the “what started Benghazi” feud: “What difference does it make?”
