For months, Fox News has promoted a false narrative they call the “War on Police.” In this fictional story, America’s police are under siege from violent criminals, as either a direct, or indirect result of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Despite the fact that statistics point to an overall decrease in police deaths, Fox News still loves to drive their new favorite “War on” narrative.
Bill O’Reilly, who also coined the term “War on Christmas,” has been the channel’s chief proponent of this narrative. However, the agenda has also filtered down the pipeline into other Fox News programs, such as Fox & Friends.
On Friday’s edition of Fox & Friends, co-host Steve Doocy had a very unusual and disturbing reaction upon receiving news concerning the death of a San Diego police officer. Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt said:
“Steve, we just learned that the family of this officer who was killed has been notified.’ News host Ainsley Earhardt as Doocy’s expression changed from a frown to a smile.
Doocy’s smile belies the true corrupt soul of his organization, like their new boss, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Fox News thrives on exploiting tragedies like terrorist attacks and police officers being killed in the line of duty so they can promote their slanted narrative, after which they harvest ratings from their ignorant audience.
