Donald Trump recently tried his hand at comedy at the Al Smith Dinner and proved that he should stick with alt-right rallies. Not only was his delivery that of a 1st grader reading poorly aloud, but he somehow managed to piss off what had to be the lightest and easiest crowd.
The ultimate irony, however, is that Trump actually plagiarized one of his best jokes.
The joke Trump made that poked fun of his trophy wife ripping off Michelle Obama’s speech at the RNC was not actually his. Allow me to reiterate that for those of you who just spit diet coke all over your screen — a joke about plagiarism was plagiarized. We can now add hack to the list of awful things about Trump.
MSNBC’s Rachael Maddow, always on top of everything Trump-related, was the first to notice the similarity between Trump’s best joke and a political cartoon.
“The media is even more biased this year than ever before. You want the proof? Michelle Obama gives a speech and everyone loves it. It’s fantastic. They think she’s absolutely great. My wife Melania gives the exact same speech and people get on her case. And I don’t get it. I don’t know why. And it wasn’t her fault. Stand up, Melania. Come on. She took a lot of abuse. Oh, I’m in trouble when I go home tonight. She didn’t know about that one. Am I OK? Is that OK?”
Here was Maddow’s reporting on its true origin:

Well, it’s now finally apparent that Trump has no frontal lobe and has no self-awareness or consideration for anyone. How much do you want to bet that Trump says the dinner was rigged?
