To Lie Or Not To Lie? That Is A Question Donald Trump Fails More Often Than You’d Think

It’s presidential campaign season, and the fact checkers are prepared to run every campaign speech, allegation and insult through the filter to see what sticks. If Donald Trump’s track record for truthfulness is any indication, they might need to hire some help or put in some heavy overtime. It appears that the spoiled, rich gabillionaire is having difficulty making the switch from tv personality (who can get away with anything as long as it’s entertaining) to serious political candidate (whose every word is scrutinized for accuracy).

Case in point: the folks over at Politifact (sponsored by the Tampa Bay Times) created a handy little graph that illustrates Trump’s truthfulness. And surprisingly, it shows in great detail how much of a big fat liar The Donald really is.

As you can see, Trump has absolutely ZERO “true” rulings. That means that the best this bloviating blowhard can do is say things that are only “mostly true.” That’s as good as it get, folks. Falling from there, we see that Donnie’s numbers rise as we go from “Half True” down to a rock bottom “Pants On Fire.” If you total the bottom three categories, Donald Trump is “Mostly False,” “False” or “Pants On Fire” 52% of the time.

The biggest whoppers include Trump’s allegation that he watched thousands of Arabs celebrate in New Jersey as the Twin Towers fell on 9/11, and a conservative meme claiming to share murder rates against blacks.

In addition to being diagnosed a narcissist by medical experts, it can now be said with some degree of certainty that Donald Trump is a pathological liar.

Last time I checked, neither of these were qualities we look for in our next President.
