The Pope Just Unleashed The Greatest Smackdown On ‘Bloodsuckers’ Who Exploit The Poor

Pope Francis has managed to do the impossible: he’s exposed the cretinous and fake Republican Christians for the hypocrites they are, and get on the good side of atheists. Much like Bernie Sanders, his commitment to lifting the poor and suffering out of misery is completely genuine. He chooses not to dress up like Lady Gaga or live in the opulent palace, confirming his devotion to the teachings of Jesus. He may be a very mild-mannered and quiet man, but you don’t want to make him angry.

According to Reuters, Pope Francis on Thursday issued a thunderous condemnation of “bloodsuckers” who exploit poor workers by underpaying them and leaving them with no long-term economic security. Yeah, maybe not good to piss off the pope.

It seems the pope made these blistering remarks during mass at the Vatican, where he began by talking about a young migrant worker he met. This migrant worker toiled for 11 hours a day and yet took home just $729 per month after being paid under the table. Not stopping there, Pope Francis also lambasted the use of short-term labor contracts, something Republicans love, that leave workers in precarious positions after their work ends.

This is starving the people with their work for my own profit! Living on the blood of the people. And this is a mortal sin, he said. Without a pension, without health care … then they suspend (the contract), and in July and August (the workers) have to eat air. And in September, they laugh at you about it. Those who do that are true bloodsuckers. (Reuters)

Is it too late to get a Sanders/Pope ticket?

This pope has shown himself to be a true Christian as he continues to speak out against economic inequality and white collar criminality. He’s also been very embarrassed by Donald Trump and all the crazy inflammatory sh*t he has said. It’s pretty bad when you upset the pope. Kudos to Pope Francis for showing us that Christianity can be more than just guns, homophobia, war for profit, and misogyny.
