Stone Cold Steve Austin OPENS A CAN OF WHOOP-A** On Religious Homophobes Over Gay Marriage (VIDEO)

Back in 2014, actor/professional wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin delivered a stunning blow to right-wing conservative homophobes who like to thump the Bible as the justification for their opposition to LGBTQ civil rights.

Austin made a name for himself in the 90’s becoming one of the WWE’s biggest superstars. Billed as the industry’s most popular “anti-hero,” he earned a reputation for bucking political correctness with two middle fingers and a beer in each hand.

So it must have served as a shock when the “bionic red-neck” came out in support of gay marriage, during a time when the general public wasn’t as supportive of LGBTQ rights as they are today.

During one of his podcasts, Stone Cold opened up a can of whoop-ass that bigots didn’t see coming:

I don’t give a shit if two guys, two gals, guy-gal, whatever it is, I believe that any human being in America, or any human being in the goddamn world, that wants to be married, and if it’s same-sex, more power to ’em.

Austin didn’t tiptoe around religion, going straight for the throat of homophobic bible thumpers:

What also chaps my ass, some of these churches, have the high horse that they get on and say ‘we as a church do not believe in that.’ Which one of these motherfuckers talked to God, and God said that same-sex marriage was a no-can-do

Stone Cold then delivered the finishing blow:

OK, so two cats can’t get married if they want to get married, but then a guy can go murder 14 people, molest five kids, then go to fucking prison, and accept God and He’s going to let him into heaven? After the fact that he did all that shit? See that’s all horseshit to me, that don’t jive with me

To many within the conservative southern religious-right hive mind, professional wrestling is like a second favorite pass-time. And Stone Cold Steve Austin is still considered sports royalty to millions of backward thinking self-described red necks who hate anything that’s different.

So it’s fun trying to imagine the face of some of those hypocritical bigots as they listen to their favorite red neck “anti-hero” piss on their false sense of moral superiority. How many Donald Trump or Ted Cruz supporting Tea Partiers dropped their beers in shock after hearing one of their anti-PC icons stand up for the LGBTQ community?

Every human being deserves the right to love who they choose to love without fear of being beaten, killed, or discriminated against because of who they are.

And that’s the bottom line because Stone Cold SAID SO!
