Secret Service: Yeah, We’ve Seen Trump’s Butler’s Obama Death Threat And We’re On It

Trump’s longtime butler is finding out that the Secret Service doesn’t like it when you threaten to kill the President of the United States. The agency announced on Thursday that they will launch an investigation into posts he made on social media calling for President Obama to be killed.

In a statement, Secret Service spokesman Robert Hoback said that the agency would be looking into Anthony Senecal and the multitude of online threats he has made against the president.

The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this matter and will conduct the appropriate investigation,” said Hoback.

Senecal, who spent 17 years as Trump’s butler, published a lengthy Facebook post on Wednesday, calling for Obama to be “taken out by our military and shot as an enemy agent.” The post went on, lamenting that “Instead he still remains in office doing everything he can to gut the America we all know and love !!!!!” Wednesday’s post was just the latest in a steady stream of right-wing insanity that flows across his page.

A Trump campaign spokesman issued a statement claiming that Trump is no longer affiliated with Senecal.

Tony Senecal has not worked at Mar-a-Lago for years, but nevertheless we totally and completely disavow the horrible statements made by him regarding the President,” the spokesman contended.

However, a piece by the New York Times profiling Senecal, which was published just a little over a month ago, reported that Senecal is still not only associated with the presumptive Republican nominee but is the “unofficial historian” at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, a position the Times said he still holds today.

Mr. Senecal tried to retire in 2009, but Mr. Trump decided he was irreplaceable, so while Mr. Senecal was relieved of his butler duties, he has been kept around as a kind of unofficial historian at Mar-a-Lago. ‘Tony, to retire is to expire,’ Mr. Trump told him. ‘I’ll see you next season.’

When questioned as to why he was so intent on seeing Obama murdered, Seneca simply replied: “I cannot stand the bastard. I don’t believe he’s an American citizen. I think he’s a fraudulent piece of crap that was brought in by the Democrats.”

Regardless, he’s about to learn that the Secret Service doesn’t take too kindly to these kinds of threats. It’s kind of a pet peeve of theirs actually.
