The disaster that was the Arizona Primary and the subsequent investigation that followed was very disconcerting, but it’s safe to agree that voter fraud is yet another manufactured Republican grievance.
Voter fraud is very rare, voter impersonation is virtually non-existent, and the majority of the problems associated with alleged fraud in elections pertains to accidental mistakes by voters or election administrators. After all, what type of criminal thinks to themselves: “Hey, I’m going to go vote as this guy instead of stealing his credit card info and social security number.” Moreover, out of the 197 million votes cast for federal candidates between 2002 and 2005, only 40 voters were indicted for voter fraud.
Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grotham, a sad and sanctimonious Christian known for denying rights for women , essentially confirmed that voter fraud is a complete and utter fabrication.
From an interview, via One Wisconsin Now:
Charles Benson: “Take me forward to November. You know that a lot of Republicans since 1984 in the presidential races have not been able to win in Wisconsin. Why would it be any different for Ted Cruz or a Donald Trump.”
U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman: “Well, I think Hillary Clinton is the weakest candidate the Democrats have ever put up and now we have photo ID and I think photo ID is gonna make a little bit of a difference as well.
Why would he make such a comment? After all, Republicans have long denied that voter ID laws have anything to do with swinging elections in their favor.
Todd Allbaugh, then-chief of staff to former state Senator Dale Schulz, stated that he was involved in closed-door meetings on making up voter fraud. Scot Ross, Executive Director of One Wisconsin Now, made the following comments in response to Albaugh and Grothman:
Republicans are finally publicly admitting that they are manipulating election laws to give themselves an unfair partisan advantage, concluded Ross. The right to vote is sacred and should not be subject to interference from partisan, political games.
Republicans have nothing to run on but fear and fear itself. Fully realizing their party is made up of a handful of Wall Street fat cats and the morons they convince to vote against their economic self-interest, they have nothing else to do but cheat.
