Mike Huckabee has really poor judgment. First he took a stance on Facebook supporting incestuous child molester, Josh Duggar (of 19 Kids and Counting–I know, right? Who watches that show?). He was righteously and hilariously ripped to shreds.
He learned nothing from that. Today he took to Twitter and actually tweeted:
As president, I will lead with moral clarity, defend basic human rights, and hold rogue regimes accountable.
Stop laughing, he really did tweet that:
I’m not sure what is more troubling… the fact that he actually said that for all the world to see or that some people actually support him. The people on Twitter were much kinder than those on Facebook.
Mike Huckabee–who claims there is no such thing as Palestinian people–has some explaining to do. Mike Huckabee was governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007. He gushes over an incestuous child molester just one day after a judge–that he appointed while Governor of Arkansas–ordered the molester’s record be destroyed. But not before InTouch magazine got ahold of it and published it:
This is significant since Jim Bob, Josh’s father was in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002 and (unsuccessfully) ran for an Arkansas Senate seat in 2002. So, in other words, a long time friend of Mike Huckabee who may or may not have known about the incidences at the time.
Strangely, during that same time period in 2002, Michelle Duggar–Josh’s mother–spearheaded an anti-gay robocall campaign saying that “males with past child predator convictions that claim they are female to have a legal right to enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls.”
The Duggar family campaigned for Mike Huckabee during his failed 2008 presidential bid and are endorsing him again this time around. Is there more to this story than meets the eye?
In any case, this man has no business being President of the United States. Or even Denny’s.
