Marco Rubio Inadvertently Admits Obama Rocks And We Need A Minimum Wage (VIDEO)

Republican presidential candidate, Senator Marco Rubio recently talked to Gerard Ramhalo, of KSNV News3, in Las Vegas recently about his humble roots — and some of his thoughts on employment, wages and the ACA.

What was most surprising though, is that during this interview, he kinda seems to say that Obama rocks!

Rubio’s parents were a maid and a bartender, therefore, you might think that he would be moved to understand the plight of low-wage workers — yet he does not support raising the minimum wage. In fact, Rubio thinks that minimum wage laws are bad, even though his own party’s supporters actually want a higher minimum wage. Buuuuuuttttttttt, Republicans, like Rubio, have to make sure that the rich are able to maximize their profits — and that means fighting against a living wage.

He also wants to repeal “Obamacare” (because he can’t say Affordable Care Act) leaving the 16.4 million people that now have good care without it again.

Oh, this interview tells us one very odd thing: he doesn’t even understand how the labor force works.

He apparently doesn’t know that the reason that we have “record numbers of people dropping out of the labor force” is primarily due to the fact that America is aging — the Baby Boomers are starting to retire and there are a sh*t-ton of them. Also, we keep sending young people to war and when they come back busted up, they are then no longer a part of the workforce, either.

The president, if you listen to his cabinet will tell you the economy has improved, we’ve created jobs, we’re in a much better position than we were?” said Rubio. “It’s true we’re technically near full employment, but those jobs don’t pay enough and you also have record numbers of people who have dropped out of the work force, so you have to account for both of those things. The new jobs that were created don’t pay enough, and measuring that percentage against a smaller pool of people, you have people who have dropped out of the labor market…and both of these things are disastrous to the country.

So Rubio is kinda saying that President Obama has nearly full employment, which rocks, and if Congress would have gotten off their asses and fixed the minimum wage, then there would be no labor force problem.

Here is Rubio, in his own words:
