The screaming orange monster that is Donald Trump did not just appear out of thin air. Rather, he was the end product of seven years of unrelenting white rage over a black president. While there exists Republicans who simply dislike President Obama on merit, a great many of them look at him and see something that just didn’t sit well with them. Is it his “spooky” sounding foreign name and the time he spent abroad? Perhaps that’s part of it. But we have witnessed enough blind racism and bigotry from the million moron army at his rallies to know the truth of the matter.
A few months ago, I covered (no pun intended) the painting of a naked Trump that showed why he actually has small hands. As expected, his nether region wasn’t very HUUGEE at all. Illma Gore, the artist who made the painting, posted the image on the internet and it went viral.
Being the thin-skinned and litigious diva we know him to be, Donald Trump threatened a DMCA takedown and Gore received violent threats from Trump supporters.
Last week, after returning from her exhibit in London, one deranged Trump supporter tried to avenge Mr. Small Hands by attacking Gore and sucker-punching her in the face.
Here is her account and message from Instagram:
Today I was punched in the face by a man who got out of his car and yelled, “Trump 2016!” in Los Angeles, just days after I returned home from London just down the road from my house.
Though I encourage passion, opinion and emotion, especially though art, I think violence is disgusting.
To live in a place where Facebook has given my address to an anonymous third party makes me feel like I am homeless again.
This type of violence makes creatives feel like we live in a world where our individual creative input isn’t safe.
I am sad that this is the state of our America right now. I am sad that Trump, and many of his supporters, don’t find words enough to express their opinions – they need walls, waterboarding and punches. @realdonaldtrump
Please stop glamorizing and perpetuating violence.
Make America Decent Again! #makeamericadecentagain No, they have not been caught…
Complaining about being punched in the face is so politically correct! What’s next: pressing charges for being sexually assaulted? Bunch of losers!
According to Gore, some lovely and sensible Trump supporters said they would “drag her out into the street and stone her to death.” Maybe they think Trump is running for office in Saudi Arabia or something. Nevertheless, this type of behavior is something we can look forward to for the next six months.
