Louisiana Gov Asks Campaigns To Donate Instead Of Come: Clinton Listens, Trump Shows Up For Photo-Op

The people of Louisiana have been slammed with unprecedented flooding and it appears that it may get worse before it gets better. The Red Cross has already called it the worst natural disaster since Superstorm Sandy. Worse yet, the state still hasn’t completely recovered from the disastrous aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Not surprisingly, Trump thinks everything is about him and defied official orders by coming to Louisiana just to exploit the moment. However, since a former reality tv star has no experience in managing natural disaster relief, he’s about as useless as a naked Trump statue in helping out.

Democratic Louisiana  Governor John Bel Edwards urged the presidential campaign not to use the disaster as a campaign stop or opportunity for a photo-op. Instead, Governor Edwards asked that the presidential campaigns give donations or offer to volunteer.

Donald Trump hasn’t called the governor to inform him of his visit, according to a statement from the Governor’s office.  We welcome him to LA, but not for a photo-op. Instead we hope he’ll consider volunteering or making a sizable donation to the LA Flood Relief Fund to help the victims of this storm.

However,  Donald Trump doesn’t need any low-energy liberal telling him to stop making America Great. He blatantly ignored the call and showed up anyway.

On the flip side, Hillary Clinton did exactly what she was told by Governor Edwards. She took to Facebook to post about the terrible situation in Louisiana and called on America to give donations to charities that could actually help the people of Louisiana.

But leave it to Trump to put his own petty and pathetic ego ahead of the actual suffering of real people.
