Lindsey Graham: If You Don’t Want War, Don’t Vote For Me – Lies About His Own Military Service (VIDEO)

Lindsey Graham made an appearance on Fox & Friends to ensure that his run for presidency is a complete waste of time. His irrelevancy is only matched by the lack of interest his campaign is generating. According to CBS only George Pataki is generating less interest than Lindsey Graham. (Of course, since CBS is a major news outlet they completely ignore Bernie Sanders and the interest that he is generating–including trending #1 on twitter–but we digress.)

In addition to announcing straight up that if you are worn out by war that you shouldn’t vote for him, he also took time in his schedule to compare Hillary Clinton to Kim Jong Un. Graham appears on Fox & Friends to let everyone know that he is committed to putting more boots on the ground in Iraq. Steve Doocy points out that people are worn out by war. Graham responds with:

Don’t vote for me, because I’m telling you what’s coming. Barack Obama’s policies of leading from behind are going to allow another 9/11.

Of course, Graham has been pushing for more war for years. In 2013 was prepared to “present a resolution that will authorize the use of military force to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear bomb.” The Wire pointed out then that the bill would “never amount to much of anything, is merely an item for his 2014 resume. He can now say he tried to act tough on national security and foreign policy.”

In November 2010 Graham was warbling: “Instead of a surgical strike on their nuclear infrastructure, I think we’re to the point now that you have to really neuter the regime’s ability to wage war against us and our allies. … [We must] destroy the ability of the regime to strike back.”

In the video below Graham discusses his military career, in which he supposedly engaged in active duty overseas. However, he has been shown to be a liar on this subject repeatedly.

Salon reports that after Graham’s active duty as an air force lawyer, Graham joined the National Guard where he served as Staff Judge Advocate in South Carolina and that his duties “included briefing pilots on the law of armed conflict, preparing legal documents for deploying troops, and providing legal services for family members of the South Carolina Air National Guard.” Adding, “His service never took him out of South Carolina.”
