John Boehner Goes Off Script, Slams Republican Candidate: He’s ‘Lucifer In The Flesh’

Most people remember House Speaker John Boehner as pretty much being like the Abe Lincoln Memorial; that is, a huge chunk of bronze that just sits around all day. And when he wasn’ t crying or just flat-out drunk, his primary task was to keep the Tea Party extremist wing of his party in check. Eventually, these Tea Klux Klan loons became so stubborn and unmanageable that Boehner decided to resign.

Although there is no love loss for Boehner, he did just trash Cruz quite beautifully. He even showed signs of humor.

Boehner joined David M. Kennedy, faculty director and history professor emeritus, in a talk hosted by Stanford in Government (SIG) and the Stanford Speakers Bureau.

You can call me boner, beaner, jackass, happy to answer to almost anything,” said former Speaker of the House John Boehner as he took the stage at CEMEX Auditorium on Wednesday evening.

The majority of the evening was spent discussing Boehner’s upbringing and journey into becoming one of the most powerful members of Congress. But when it came to the 2016 election and Ted Cruz, the former House speaker was more than blunt.

Lucifer in the flesh,” the former speaker said. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bi*ch in my life.

Wow! And this is coming from the man who smiled about as much as Grumpy Cat. Moreover, a man who wouldn’t get up to clap after  President Obama acknowledged Amelia Boynton Robinson, a 103-year-old civil rights activist, in his 2015 State of The Union Address.

Boehner also tacitly accepted Trump as the GOP nominee. Surprisingly enough, he had some nice things to say about Senator Sanders. While admitting that Hillary Clinton will most likely win the Democratic nomination, Boehner has some kind thing to say about Bernie.

Sanders a nice guy and the most honest politician in the race.

Regardless of your opinion of the former House speaker, he was refreshingly classy and candid during this interview. If only he showed some of this humility and reason during his Speaker tenure.
