Donald Trump’s factually challenged spokesperson Katrina Pierson was able to leave MSNBC’s Kate Snow “speechless” on Wednesday after she spun her explanation of Trump’s now infamous Hillary Clinton assassination gaffe.
Pierson continued to insist that Trump only meant that he would mobilize gun rights advocates politically to stop Clinton.
The NRA is a bipartisan organization,” Pierson opined. “And that is also left out of the discussion in the media, considering how there are even Democrats who won’t touch gun legislation in an election year because the NRA has been able to take out Democrats as well.
Snow pointed out that Trump was speaking in the past tense, as though Clinton was already president and she could pick Supreme Court justices.
He’s assuming she’s in power,” Snow said. “And then says there’s nothing you can do about it at that point — ‘Well, but maybe the Second Amendment people, maybe there is.’
Once again Pierson denied any nefarious intent behind Trump’s words. Instead, she bragged about the National Rifle Association’s power over Washington.
No one is even talking about the power of the NRA,” Pierson replied. “They have been able to stop senators from appointing people that are hostile towards the Second Amendment. And that’s what he’s talking about.
The host asked if Trump had a responsibility to clarify his comments since so many Americans interpreted his remarks as a call for violent action against a possible U.S. president.
It’s reinforced by the media!” Pierson exclaimed, cutting off Snow. “He talks about this at every rally.
Snow then made the mistake of countering with a logical argument.
If his words are misinterpreted as president, he will not get a do over as president of the United States,” Snow noted. “I think that’s what a lot of people are reacting too here. You don’t get a do over.
Pierson used Hillary Clinton as a shield referencing “the horrible things that have already happened while Hillary Clinton was at the State Department.”
Unfortunately, the host continued to press on her point about Trump’s problem with communicating his thoughts effectively.
And that’s when Pierson unraveled reality and went full Wonderland.
He wasn’t talking about policy,” Pierson said. “He wasn’t talking about implementation of policy. He was talking about what would happen if Hillary Clinton were to be elected and he was absolutely right.
Pierson’s answer baffled Snow, who stared blankly at her guest within a few moments of awkward silence, after which Snow said:

I’m speechless because I’m trying to follow your logic here, Katrina, and I’m having a hard time.
“I can tell,” Pierson quipped.
Pierson is by far the most delusional political spin doctor since Iraq’s “Bagdad Bob.” Once she said “The NRA is a bipartisan organization,” that was a clue that it was time to cut the interview. Because everything that came out of her mouth after that just had fewer and fewer connections to the truth or anything vaguely resembling a logical argument.
Debating Trump surrogates (especially Katrina Pierson) is about as fruitful as debating the Mad Hatter in Wonderland, who also happens to be both drunk and high.
