Get Out Of Leadership Race If You Have Skeletons In Your Closet, Warns GOP Rep.

The state of the Republican Party at this point is deep, genuine chaos. Which is reflected in a letter written by Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) to his own party members, warning them to get out of the running for leadership positions if they have “skeletons in their closet,” so that the party can try to avoid the turmoil and embarrassment of future scandals.

Jones claims the letter is not aimed at any specific person, saying he was referring to rumors, “some true, and some not” that he has heard throughout his many years in Congress. Though, one can not help but speculate on this letter’s true purpose and if it has anything to do with McCarthy’s sudden withdrawal from the race for Speaker of the House.

This is just another symptom of a broken, bought, political party that is fracturing as we watch.

The number of scandals that have rocked the GOP in recent memory is far too high, and from what Walter Jones is saying, there is even more that we don’t know — and he would like to keep it that way.

Here is the Walter Jones talking with CNN:
