Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle (R) on Monday threatened Delta after the airline cut ties with the National Rifle Association. Cagle tweeted that he will block any tax legislation that benefits Delta Airlines. The airline announced that it will no longer offer discounted rates to NRA members traveling to its annual convention.
“I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with @NRA. Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back,” Cagle tweeted.

That’s a pretty dumb move for a number of reasons. Delta employs about 33,000 employees in Georgia, making the airline the state’s number one private employer. It’s also unconstitutional.
His tweet set the Internet ablaze.
This is called extortion. It’s also called a felony.
Have at it, bigshot.

The First Amendment prevents the government from punishing private entities based on their political views. Typically politicians don’t admit they’re doing that, but Georgia Lt. Governor @CaseyCagle vows to kill tax legislation unless Delta funds the NRA. Unlawful. https://t.co/jFLSg813pH

This might be one of the dumbest things I have heard anybody or anything say this entire year and it came from a GOP politician. This is far from surprising.

So you’re not a big believer in the free market and capitalism, huh?

Pretty sure he swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, not “Conservatives.”

Conservatives: Small government! Let the powerful businesses decide everyone’s fate!
Also conservatives: This business is being mean to another business I like. I will use the government to hurt them.

Attacking you would be refusing you service (gays and cakes ring any bells?). Delta has rescinded discounts. Learn the difference. You’re supposed to be intelligent.

So let’s just be clear – you are threatening a private company because they won’t give one of your big campaign donors a discount? Way to bring business to Georgia, my man. Also, that sounds a lot like pay to play.

Hey, Georgia — May 22, 2018, is the date to vote in the primaries for this asshole’s seat. Make sure he never makes it to November 6th.

Cagle, who is running for governor this year, issued a statement accusing companies of “viewpoint discrimination against conservatives and law-abiding gun owners” even though revoking discounts is hardly discrimination.
Teenagers are kicking the NRA’s ass and Cagle can’t handle it. They’re afraid of children because they know their time is up. Americans aren’t going to sit idly by anymore while children are massacred.
