FBI Announces Their Clinton Email Decision And Donald Trump Is NOT Happy

For months, Trump supporters and even some far left liberals have been waiting for the FBI to announce they found enough evidence to indict Hillary Clinton for using a private email server while she was Secretary of State. Unfortunately, for the Hillary haters, those dreams died this morning when FBI Director James Comey announced that his agency does not believe charges should be brought against Clinton:

Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case…In looking back at our investigations into the mishandling or removal of classified information, we cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these facts.

Director Comey also said there was no evidence that Clinton staffers intentionally deleted State Department emails when they combed through Hillary’s emails and deleted her personal correspondences. Of the 30,000 emails staffers deleted, only seven classified chain emails were discovered among them.

That is not to say Hillary Clinton did everything right. Director Comey gave her a verbal slap on the wrist for using a private server and said that she should have known better. This is absolutely true and she will have to deal with that, but that doesn’t change the facts that “should have known better” is not criminal.

It is likely that the Republican Party will completely ignore the fact that the FBI is not recommending charges and only focus on the seven classified emails that were found. Or they will claim that Director Comey was pressured by big, bad scary Democrats. Trump responded shortly after the announcement and he is going with the whole “rigged system” garbage (of course):

The difference between the Petraeus case and Clinton case is that General Petraeus intentionally broke the law. He admitted that he removed highly sensitive, classified information from his workplace and gave it to his mistress who was also his biographer. Clinton did no such thing. She didn’t spread classified information around, but Trump probably hasn’t even bothered to read the details of the Petraeus case.

Trump sent out another tweet shortly after slamming Director Comey:

Clearly, the Republican presidential nominee doesn’t realize that Comey is one of the most well-respected government officials in the country and attacking him by implying that he is corrupt, is probably not the smartest move.

The good news today is that the Democrats can finally turn their attention to the general election, without this nonsense hanging over the party and get back to the business of kicking Donald Trump’s ass.
