Donald Trump’s Campaign Hires Former Palin Aide, Eager To Repeat Mistakes Of 2008

Not even a week after entertaining the possibility of offering Palin a position in his potential administration, The Teflon Don, Donald Trump, has extended an offer of employment to Michael Glassner, a former aide of GOP vice presidential candidate nominee Sarah Palin.

It can’t be emphasized just how much of a gift that Trump has been to late night comedians nationwide.

Trump/Palin 2016?

While joining Kevin Scholla earlier this week on the Palin Update, Trump acknowledged that he would consider calling on Palin for advice should he get in office:

I’d love that,” Trump announced. “Because she really is somebody who knows what’s happening and she’s a special person, she’s really a special person and I think people know that.

Trump described Palin as having a “kind of strength” that we the voters don’t see anymore in our elected politicians.

Today, Talking Points Memo reports that Trump may well make good on that promise.

In a statement released today, Trump said that:

I am pleased to welcome Michael Glassner to our national campaign leadership team. In addition to our great success in all the recent national polls, we have built a great team, ultimately driven by my message to Make America Great Again and Mr. Glassner will certainly be an asset to us as we further cement our dominance in the 2016 GOP field

According to the campaign, Glassner is going to be the national political director, and will be developing their national political strategy and implementation.

Previous to aiding Palin, Glassner aided Senator Bob Dole during his presidential campaign, and was a senior adviser to the 2000 Bush campaign in Iowa.

Make American great again apparently includes dredging up old political jokes and hacks. But then, Teflon Don is clearly trolling the Republicans, so who knows what other insane idea he’s going to come up with.
