Donald Trump has been under a lot of scrutiny lately because of his insanely violent rallies. Not since white supremacist George Wallace in 1968, have we seen a group of supporters as abusive as the Republican front-runner’s fans. However, that has not stopped the candidate from making outrageous claims and he is now saying that he better win the nomination or else his supporters are going to wreak even more havoc on the country.
On Wednesday, Donald Trump gave an interview to CNN’s Chris Cuomo where he said:
I think we will win before getting to the convention. But I can tell you, if we didn’t and if we’re 20 votes short or if we’re 100 short and we’re at 1,100 and somebody else is at 500 or 400 because we’re way ahead of everybody, I don’t think you can say that we don’t get it automatically, I think you would have riots. I think you would have riots.
This is the guy who calls himself a “unifier.” If he were actually a peaceful man, a “unifier,” he would tell his supporters that they should NOT resort to rioting. He would tell them to trust our democratic process. He would tell them that he does not condone their actions and they need to keep their hands to themselves. Instead, he says garbage like this to rile up his supporters more without any concern for the people who may be hurt.
How very unpresidential of him.
