It’s like Donald Trump’s campaign gets up every morning just to dream of new and exciting ways to get under Jeb Bush’s skin. I’ll give it to him, Bush hasn’t swung his fists at Trump yet, but Bush has to spend a few hours every day with a Zen master to keep from losing it. Let’s be honest, Bush’s campaign has been hemorrhaging money and having a pretty rough go of it, so it’s not like he’s going to be in this election much longer.
In the past, Trump has been merciless and those who enjoy poking fun at republicans secretly delight in every attack Trump makes on his fellow candidates. After all the enemy of my enemy is my friend! Remember that time a Bush supporter fell asleep at his rally? Trump was quick to strike saying Bush was perfect for insomnia. Then there was the time Trump hit Bush for saying W. kept us all safe…. I mean except for that whole 9/11 thing. Then Trump used Bush’s own mom to go after him on his candidacy. Hey, Mother knows best, right?
During the debate a few months ago, Bush said he did marijuana for the first time about 40 years ago. Not long after, Trump was trolling Bush again saying that he’s been confused (not stoned) ever since. Early on Bush tried to ignore Trump’s trolling. The rule is: never feed a troll. But now that Trump is the front runner, he can’t. But if Bush ever tries to strike back, Trump says it is because Bush is “very sensitive.” He can’t win for losing.
That’s what makes today’s news even more delicious. Trump’s campaign bought JebBush.com. Poor Bush never was very tech savvy. Back in 2008 a sweet gay couple from Texas bought the domain name JebBushForPresident.com in anticipation of a Bush campaign. Today they use the website as a blog to talk about their awesome life together. If that isn’t enough JebBushForPresident.net is an anti-Bush website with a banner reading “Jeb Bush NOT For President” and lots of factoids about how awful Bush is.
The new JebBush.com couldn’t have been cheap. The previous owner was someone who jokingly lives in “Fortitude Valley” in Australia, but Trump is the owner now and currently it is redirecting it to DonaldJTrump.com.
Bummer of a day for Bush. Why he’s still running is beyond me. Comic relief?
