Donald Trump Apparently Forced His Mistress To Pose Nude Against Her Will

In case you’ve been hiding under a rock, Donald Trump is a major sleazeball. The latest bit of evidence comes from an article tweeted by historian Dr. Jeff Nichols, who outlined how Donald Trump insisted his then-mistress and future wife Marla Maples pose nude in Playboy — against her will. In case that weren’t gross enough, Donald Trump apparently negotiated the fee, too.

Trump has a history with Playboy, one of America’s first major providers of adult materials. And while the heydays of the magazine are long over, its specter continues to dog him.

For instance, there’s a now-(in)famous tweet of him, an evangelical leader, and a Playboy magazine. His 1990 interview with the magazine also exists and then came his recent attacks on Alicia Machado, claiming that she posed in Playboy while Trump himself apparently starred in a Playboy movie once upon a time.

Now this: a New York Daily News article has apparently surfaced that tells the story of Trump forcing his future wife, Marla Maples, to pose nude in Playboy. As for compensation, Trump negotiated a million dollar check.

The religious right will, of course, still vote for this guy because “something, something, faith,” right?

“‘Donald doesn’t want Marla to look like she’s against Ivana,’ Says Trump’s PR guru, Chuck Jones. ‘Donald wants picture approval. Donald says to emphasize her early years,’” the article says. It continues, talking about how Maples didn’t want to do the nude layout, since she was afraid it’d eliminate any possibility to be seen as a serious woman and not just a pretty face:

“‘Trump himself was on the phone negotiating the fee,’ remembers a top Playboy editor. ‘He wanted her to do the nude layout. She didn’t.’ (‘I’m thankful for my body, but I didn’t want to exploit it,’ Marla offers. ‘How would I ever be taken seriously?’)”

Jones, the “PR guru,” would go on to describe Maples as someone who was more than Trump’s mistress: “Marla,” Jones says, “came along and fulfilled perfectly what Donald really needed. When two people plan a future together, she is not a mistress.”

That’s a weird definition of “mistress.” Like, one that’s specifically tailored for this single instance, especially given the actual definition for “mistress” is, “a woman who has a continuing, extramarital sexual relationship with one man, especially a man who, in return for an exclusive and continuing liaison, provides her with financial support.”
