David Lane Recruiting 1,000 Pastors To Run For Office Because This Is ‘Our Appointed Time Of God’ (VIDEO)

It’s every bit as terrifying as it sounds.

The social conservative activist, David Lane, has a plan to insert ‘God’ back into the US, and all he needs is a thousand Christian church leaders to turn into politicians.

Heavily funded by the notoriously homophobic hate group the American Family Association since early 2000, Lane plans on recruiting 1,000 pastors who want their names on the ballots, to take their country “back.” Most likely they will do it for the good of all people they represent in their country, right? Um, no. The AFA is serious about passing a socially conservative agenda that would limit freedom to homosexuals, women, minorities and other liberal activists such as environmentalists.

Following a  model set by Lane’s own pastor Roy McCoy, who ran his own unsuccessful Christian conservative campaign but ultimately lost to ideas, inclusiveness, and secularism, Lane saw McCoy’s idea as a brilliant way to take control over the electoral process. Of course, not every campaign will be a success, but by playing the numbers game, some are bound to be elected and that’s considered a small step towards the larger victory of forcing the country back into the days of religious oppression.

In March 2011 during a gathering with 400 pastors from key battleground states, Lane said:

What we’re doing with the pastor meetings is spiritual, but the end result is political. … From my perspective, our country is going to hell because pastors won’t lead from the pulpits.

This plan has been a slowly evolving for several years, but Lane is finally ready to put it into practice. Lane said:

Nobody’s confused that politicians are going to save America. But what they’ve done, in [1963] when they took the Bible and prayer from public schools, they removed the sword of the spirit. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. The principle part of knowledge is the fear of the Lord. They removed it. The transmission agent of wisdom – the Word – they removed from public school. Men and women of Issachar who know the times and know what to do have to engage the culture. This is where we are. This is our kairos: appointed time of God.
