During an interview on Sunday’s ‘Meet The Press,’ out-of-touch and ill-informed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump vowed that if he becomes President, all illegals would be deported, immigration laws would be more strictly enforced with additional personnel, and birthright citizenship would be abolished. Obviously, Mr. Trump’s plans fall in line with his comments regarding illegal immigrants flowing into this country from Mexico. You know: the drug smugglers, thieves and the ones ‘doing all the raping.’ However, we have a sneaking suspicion Mr. Trump has not calculated the cost to the good old American taxpayer for his grandiose immigration plans.
For starters, the cost to deport over 11 million illegal immigrants would range between $100 and $200 million dollars. These figures are based on an estimate reached in 2011 by Immigration and Customs Enforcement deputy director Kumar Kibble, who said it would cost approximately $12,500 per immigrant. These figures include arrest, detention, processing and transportation.
When asked by NBC’s Chuck Todd about the cost of such an endeavor, Trump, as he is wont to do, sidestepped the question and instead talked about all the crimes the illegals are committing and what the cost of those crimes were to the taxpayer.
Let’s take a listen to the golden words as they flow out of his piehole:
Trump seems to habitually deal in grandiose plans, be they high rise buildings, casinos or his own unique hairstyle. The problem is, as evidenced by his numerous business bankruptcy filings, he fails to ‘put up’ when the note is due. It’s all well and good for him to do that in his corporate world (to the detriment of his unfortunate shareholders). Do we really want him playing fast and loose with our tax dollars?
