Conservatives Are LYING About These Photos Supposedly Showing Hillary Is Too Sick To Be POTUS

In recent weeks questions have begun to emerge among some political observers about whether Republican candidate Donald Trump is of sound mind. And there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that, as The Donald himself might say, “there’s something going on.” Now Trump’s minions are focusing on a couple of pictures of Hillary Clinton to question her health as well.

One of the pictures that seems to have set the alternative universe of the right abuzz is one of Hillary and Bill walking through the backstage area at the Democratic National Convention. Near her on her left is an unidentified man who is probably a Secret Service agent. He is holding something in his left hand that can’t be made out clearly in the photo. Without any evidence at all the anti-Hillary attack dogs have decided that he is carrying a “diazepam pen.” Diazepam, the generic name for Valium, is used to treat seizures and anxiety disorders. “A-HA! She’s not well enough to be president,” these conspiracy theorists are saying.

These same anti-Clinton sites are pointing out that the man in the photo is the same man who recently rushed to her side when she was interrupted by protesters during a campaign rally, which makes it even more likely that he is a member of the Secret Service and not some mysterious medical guru as members of the unhinged right are suggesting.

This nonsense is largely being fueled by a blogger named Mike Cernovich, who also came to the conclusion that the “mysterious” man is wearing a lapel pin he claims identifies him as a “medic.”

Cernovich doesn’t bother to mention that in the photo Bill Clinton is wearing a similar pin. And so is what appears to be another Secret Service agent to the former president’s right, who has been mysteriously cropped out of the version of the picture that is being circulated by these fringe sites. Out of the several photos and videos in which the right’s mystery man is seen, he is only wearing the pin in that single picture. In  other photos where he appears, he is wearing a small round pin that appears to be the same as those worn by other Secret Service agents.

How do I know the picture Cernovich and others are sharing has been cropped? Because a black and white version of it appears on Hillary Clinton’s campaign website. Isn’t it kind of strange that if she is covering up some sort of medical condition, the man they claim is her version of Michael Jackson’s doctor is extremely visible? Let’s add to that this information: the photo in question was shot by Barbara Kinney. Who is she? Not some random member of the press — she’s Hillary’s official photographer. Again, if they were trying to hide a mysterious medical condition, would the photographer who has been shooting the Clintons for over 20 years take a picture revealing a mysterious secret? Not likely.

The other picture that seems to have the right all worked up over Hillary’s health was posted by conservatives’ favorite slimy site, The Drudge Report.

Matt Drudge and his band of liars were immediately called out by CNN Money, which offered the complete context of the photo. It was taken while Clinton was campaigning in South Carolina in late February. She had just slipped on the steps and was being helped to the top by the Secret Service. This is the caption written for the photo taken by Getty photographer Mark Makela:

The right is getting pathetically desperate to bring down Clinton. Republicans in Congress have tried to smear her for the past few years and have failed to make any charge of substance stick. So now they have to resort to nonsense claims about her health. Considering she will be 69 in two months, she seems to be doing just fine. Much to the dismay of her enemies, no doubt.
