Bigoted ‘Christians’ Lose Their Sh*t Over Removal Of Oklahoma Ten Commandments Monument (SCREENSHOTS/VIDEO)

One thing that there’s no doubt about is how right-wingers feel about Sharia law, the legal system that is followed by some Muslim countries. They hate it, hate it, hate it, even though it isn’t used in any way, shape, or form in the United States. But ask them about Judeo-Christian law, and they will likely have a different opinion, even though the constitution makes it plain that America owes no fealty to Christianity, or to any other religion.

Last night, under cover of darkness, workers in Oklahoma removed a six-foot-tall monument of the Ten Commandments from the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capitol. This follows a state Supreme Court ruling that the monument violated state law since it was on public property. Keep in mind that Oklahoma voters actually approved a ballot measure that banned Sharia law in the state. But a monument honoring the foundation document of Judeo-Christian law was apparently perfectly fine to Allah-hating, God-fearing Christians.

Of course Fox News reported on the removal, with a little additional editorializing. Listen carefully to what Fox host Brian Kilmeade says at the end of this short video clip.

Of course, the Foxbots had to weigh in on the story. Here’s a sampling of their comments.

Being “Godless” makes you “depraved?” “Debulator” has obviously never read the Old Testament.

This is a fair point, but “marshee” totally misses the fact that you can live by the Ten Commandments without an endorsement of them from your state government.

Wow, where to start with this one? “CloudArrow” merges the constitution, two words added to the Pledge Of Allegiance in the 1950’s, and Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address to get this mish-mash of a comment.

“AntwanWilliams” flunked history.

But in addition to the Foxbot insanity, there are actually some insightful comments on the thread. Unfortunately, most of them, such as this one from “JimCasy,” will likely just go over the average Fox viewer’s head.

And this one, from someone who seems to truly understand what his religion is all about.

So the monument is gone, whisked away in the dead of night to keep Christian nutjobs from lying down in front of it to save it, or whatever. The sun still came up this morning, God didn’t rain down fire and brimstone on anybody, and the state of Oklahoma is out of the business of promoting Christian law, thanks to seven out of nine justices on the state supreme court. That would be the seven justices who understand the U.S. and state constitutions, and who some in Oklahoma, the state that voted to ban Sharia law, now call “tyrants in robes.”
