White House Responds To Criticism Of Trump’s Remarks On Obama, Makes It SO Much Worse (TWEET)

Donald Trump has already pissed off Americans this week, and we haven’t even gotten to the halfway point yet.

Trump must love making his approval rate drop. Earlier today, Trump made the fatal mistake of attacking one of America’s most beloved former presidents, Barack Obama. Trump infuriated people across the country when he stated that Obama had never reached out to the families of fallen soldiers. It was an absolutely inhumane thing to say, not to mention the fact that it was 100% false. Trump’s exact words were:

“The toughest calls I have to make are the calls where this happens — soldiers are killed. It’s a very difficult thing. Now it gets to a point where you make four or five of them in one day, it’s a very, very tough day. For me that’s by far the toughest. So the traditional way, if you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls, a lot of them didn’t make calls. I like to call when it’s appropriate when I think I’m able to do it.”

As you can imagine, people were furious. In response, Trump’s team tried to improve the situation by putting out a statement – and somehow made it much worse. Proving that the incompetency in the White House isn’t isolated to just Trump, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders put out a public statement that addressed the criticism and insisted that Trump didn’t say Obama never reached out to the families who had lost loved ones in the U.S. military.

In her statement, Sanders Huckabee tired to say that Trump was just “stating a fact” when he said Obama “didn’t make calls” to the families of fallen soldiers. She tried to pretend Trump meant that all presidents honor the fallen in their own unique ways. Here’s the statement she released:

This is truly a pathetic attempt to cover Trump’s inappropriate remarks and lies about his predecessors.
