WATCH: ‘The View’ Just WRECKED Trump For Hurling Petty Insults At Meryl Streep

The ladies of “The View” were NOT amused by Donald Trump’s attack on Meryl Streep.

On Sunday night at the Golden Globe Awards, Streep called out Donald trump without even mentioning his name by expressing how disappointed she felt when Trump mocked a disabled reporter during a campaign rally. She criticized Trump for making our political process one featuring disrespect, hate, divisiveness, and violence.

“There was nothing good about it,” Streep said. “But it was effective, and it did its job. It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter- someone he outranked in privilege, power, and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart. When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.”

Predictably, Trump lashed out at Streep on Twitter this morning, calling her over-rated” and a “Hillary flunky.”

Well, Joy Behar wrecked Trump for acting like a “baby” every time someone criticizes him.

“Of course, Donald Trump tweeted that she is an overrated actress,” Behar said. “He’s such a baby. Of course, she’s no Scott Baio, I’ll admit that. But that is his response. He is supposed to be the president of the free world. He’s not there to go tit-for-tat over every little slight that goes through his thin skin.”

Behar’s conservative co-host Jedediah Bila agreed, remarking that “Donald Trump should be focused on how to fix the country, not on an awards show.”

And then Behar slammed conservatives for hypocritically whining about Streep’s political statements when they went out and voted for a reality TV star.

“People don’t like it when actors speak about politics, however this country just elected a celebrity! We just elected a celebrity, so maybe he should keep quiet!”

Here’s the video via YouTube.

It should also be pointed out that Ronald Reagan used his celebrity to make political statements and I don’t remember conservatives bitching about it. Indeed, they voted to make him president. Also, Scott Baio made several political statements in support of Trump on the campaign trail. So it’s hilarious to hear them whining about an actress making a political statement, especially since Meryl Streep is more legendary than Baio, Reagan, and Trump combined will ever be.
