Veterans Just Responded To Trump’s Attack On Blumenthal’s Military Records And It’s Spot On

Every time his ego takes a bullet, Donald Trump will go after the person who pulled the trigger.

On Monday attacked Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) for misrepresenting his military record. He tweeted:

For those unaware, Trump is referring to Blumenthal’s admission that he never actually served in Vietnam in the 1970s, despite statements he made suggesting otherwise. Since then, Blumenthal has publicly apologized for claiming that he served in Vietnam. On the contrary, he did actually enlist in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, where he served from 1970 to 1976. That’s more then Trump can ever take credit for, as he  was granted four deferments on the draft while he was studying at Fordham University and the University of Pennsylvania, and then was  medically disqualified during an armed forces physical examination for his poor little feet, although no records exist to verify this claim, which means he probably faked an injury at the time.

Nevertheless, many veterans on Twitter spoke out about the incident and  slammed Trump for attacking someone who legitimately served in the military–with records to prove it–while Trump sat on his tush and avoided serving.

Here are some of the better responses:
