In the middle of his massive meltdown over the failure of the Senate’s health care bill earlier this week, Trump called an emergency lunch meeting with all Senate Republicans in a pathetic attempt to force them to vote on the collapsed bill. And by the way, this was AFTER Trump said Republicans should just let Obamacare fail first instead of trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Confusing flip-flops are just part of Trump’s ‘leadership’ strategy, I guess…
Disturbing footage has just been released of this luncheon, where Trump trashed former President Barack Obama and the groundbreaking health care law that many Americans have come to appreciate and prefer over anything Trump and the GOP have suggested. After he was done blasting and lying about how horrible Obamacare was, Trump turned his attention to his fellow Republicans at the table and decided to threaten one of them.
Trump singled out Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV), who was sitting right next to him. Heller had publicly opposed the first draft of Trumpcare, and Trump apparently has not forgotten. Trump said – in front of all Republican lawmakers – that if Heller wanted to keep his job, he’d better get on board. Trump said:
This was the one we were worried about, you weren’t there. You’re going to be. Look, he wants to remain a senator, doesn’t he? Okay, and I think the people of your state, which I know very well, I think they’re going to appreciate whenever you do.”
Heller looked stunned by this threat and tried to awkwardly smile through it, along with everyone else there. Things got worse, as Trump stated that any Republican who votes against the bill will be considered an Obamacare supporter by him – implying that their positions might also be in jeopardy.
You can watch this shocking moment below, where Trump proves that he will literally bully anyone to get his way:
