Donald Trump will be in China this week, which will probably mark more humiliation, broken international relations, and social media blunders for America. But there’s another reason to fear having Trump on the loose in China – he just might come unhinged.
According to McClatchy News reporter Anita Kumar, Trump’s temperament might be put to the ultimate test this week – a test that he is almost sure to fail (and has failed many times before). In a shocking MSNBC segment on Sunday, Kumar revealed that North Korea might be planning on testing a missile while Trump is visiting China or South Korea.
During a panel discussion about how Trump’s inner circle will attempt to keep Trump focused and on task while he is away, Kumar said that Trump’s “number one top priority is North Korea.” Kumar stated that Trump needed to “watch what language he uses” during this trip so that he doesn’t make the already tense and strained relationships between the United States, China, South Korea, and North Korea worse. Then, she dropped this shocking warning:
“What experts are telling me, though, is that there might be a missile test by North Korea while Pres. Trump is traveling. That’s going to put him on the spot while he’s in China or South Korea.”
“So that would be huge. He’d have to decide then and there how to react.”
Huge is an understatement. It is terrifying. At this point in Trump’s miserable presidency, it is more than clear that Americans cannot trust him to take a measured, stable, diplomatic approach to anything – especially emergencies and matters of sensitive nature. Trump will likely become unraveled like the loose cannon he is, and put America in great danger as he flies off the handle and makes matters worse with a predictably unhinged response. We can only hope and pray that this trip goes smoothly and that his team is watching him closely.
