The ‘no chaos’ so-called president just fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who, by the way, blasted Russia Monday over the poisoning of an ex-Russian spy and his daughter in the U.K.
British Prime Minister Theresa May said that it was “highly likely” that Russia was behind the attack on Sergei Skripal and his daughter who were found to have been poisoned with a nerve agent in a public place last week.
Tillerson on Monday said the attack was “a really egregious act” and “it was almost beyond comprehension” that any government officials would use the poison in a public area. The Secretary of State said it “clearly came from Russia” and “certainly will trigger a response.”
“From Ukraine to Syria — and now the [United Kingdom] — Russia continues to be an irresponsible force of instability in the world, acting with open disregard for the sovereignty of other states and the life of their citizens,” he said.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “We are standing with our U.K. ally” after the nerve agent attack but she refused to say that Russia is behind the attack.
On Tuesday, Donald Trump, the man who has failed to apply sanctions to Russia as punishment for interfering in the presidential election, fired Rex Tillerson.
“Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State,” Trump tweeted this morning. “He will do a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service! Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Congratulations to all!”

The Washington Post reports that it was last Friday that Trump asked Tillerson to step aside, so he cut short a trip to Africa on Monday to return to Washington. After that, Tillerson obviously felt free to speak his mind on Russia’s attack on the ex-spy while no one else in the administration will point a finger at the hostile foreign power.
Pompeo’s confirmation will likely take a while. Meanwhile, Trump is off to look at prototypes for his dumb wall.
