The rivalry between Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is escalating and getting more terrifying as the weeks go on — and thanks to a recent message, it doesn’t look like anything will be resolved in 2018.
Kim Jong-Un has just sent out a New Year’s address, with a specific, deadly message to Trump. The North Korean leader pretty much told Trump that he has a nuclear button on his desk, which he can press whenever he wants to launch a nuclear strike.
The leader of the rogue nation said:
The entire mainland of the US is within the range of our nuclear weapons and the nuclear button is always on the desk of my office. They should accurately be aware that this is not a threat but a reality.”
Interestingly enough, Trump also has a button on his desk. Unfortunately, it’s only a button to signal his butler to bring him another Diet Coke. Yup, we’re pretty much screwed.
While Kim Jong-Un spent his address talking about making peace with South Korea, he continued to send threats to the United States, signaling that Trump has damaged our relationship with North Korea beyond repair. Stating that one of his country’s biggest achievements in 2017 was the “historic accomplishment of completing our nuclear capabilities,” Kim Jong-Un sent this chilling message:
No matter how much America wants to attack us with their military might and nuclear power, they know that now we possess such great nuclear power and therefore they will not dare.”
Thanks to Trump, America is now in great danger and at the mercy of his mental instability and incompetence. This is not how we wanted to kick 2018 off at all, and it’s already shaping up to be yet another year that Trump singlehandedly ruins.
