Former FBI Director James Comey is destroying Donald Trump day by day thanks to the release of his new anti-Trump book, “A Higher Loyalty.” Unfortunately for Trump, he just keeps giving Comey more validation and reasons to speak out against the disgraceful POTUS with his unhinged behavior and lack of self control. What happened this morning became a perfect example for Comey and provided the perfect opportunity to bash Trump on national television.
Earlier this morning, Trump tweeted this:
Slippery James Comey, the worst FBI Director in history, was not fired because of the phony Russia investigation where, by the way, there was NO COLLUSION (except by the Dems)!”
Little did he know this would backfire on him tremendously a few hours later, when Comey had an appearance on The View. During the interview, Comey reacted to the tweet, which claimed that Trump had not fired the former FBI Director due to the Russian collusion investigations — despite what Trump said a year ago, when he admitted the Russia investigation highly influenced his decision to fire Comey. Comey reacted to the tweet and pointed out how Trump’s latest tweet just validates his concerns about the untrustworthy POTUS:
I think that illustrates part of the problem I’m trying to bring up: that it matters that the president is not committed to the truth as a central American value, but I don’t know what to make of it.”
When Comey was asked if Trump’s rabid fan base even cares about Trump’s constant lies and contradictions, Comey insisted that Americans need to stay aware and not become desensitized to the craziness that is coming out of the White House. You can watch Comey’s interview below:
If Comey’s media tour continues to have such success — and Trump continues to validate everything the former FBI Director is saying — the president is setting the GOP up for failure in the midterm elections.
