The Republican Party of Indiana might want to stay away from social media for a while, because its recent attempt to build up support on Facebook isn’t working out to well. In fact, it’s having the opposite effect.
On July 3, and apparently to help Senate Republicans take down the Affordable Care Act, the Indiana GOP posted a request for horror stories about the program.
“Did you lose a doctor that you liked? Have your premiums increased? Did your insurer leave the exchange? Are burdensome regulations hurting your small business?
We were promised Obamacare would make healthcare cheaper, better, and more available, but in reality it’s turned out to be the opposite.
What’s your Obamacare horror story? Let us know.”
And over 8,000 responded. But not with any horror stories, however. In fact, only positive praise for Obamacare was offered (and comments are still pouring in, too).
Obamacare saved their lives, many said.
It also saved them lots of money.
Many responded sarcastically.
Medical practitioners weighed in on the subject, too.
And they’re directing complaints about potential changes to Donald Trump and the GOP.
So will Republicans pay attention to these replies? We’ll soon find out, as the GOP’s healthcare bill could be heard and voted on this week.
