The Trump administration is stepping up measures to stop news about corruption from leaking to the press. According to racist Keebler elf and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the Justice Department is looking for ways to strip away the First Amendment and punish whistleblowers and journalists.
Sessions says the Justice Department is reviewing policies for subpoenaing reporters and forcing them to give up their sources and other information amid the growing number of leak probes initiated by the Trump administration.
“One of the things we are doing is reviewing the policies affecting media subpoenas,” Sessions said Thursday as he announced that his department will be tripling the number of leak probes. “We respect the important role that the press plays, and we will give our support. But, it is not unlimited. They cannot place lives at risk with impunity.”
This announcement comes following the leak of some calls with world leaders that both revealed Donald Trump to be a liar and embarrassed him for his lack of knowledge about policy. the only one hurt, as with the majority of leaks, was Donald Trump.
Ultimately, Sessions’ goal seems to be a “free press” too afraid to report the truth and too afraid to protect sources from those who would harm them.
