Diana Orrock, a member of the Republican National Committee from Nevada, appeared to support a tweet that called for the death of Republican Sen. John McCain.
“Please Just F—— Die Already,” was published Monday on Medium by Caitlin Johnstone.
For those who are unaware, McCain is currently in recovery after undergoing surgery on Friday to remove a blood clot from his left eye.
By late Monday afternoon, Orrock had deleted the retweet, after journalists pointed out that she was a member of the RNC.
Orrock has served as the Nevada committeewoman for the RNC since 2012. During the 2016 presidential election, she was a vocal supporter of Donald Trump (which explains a lot).
“As national committeewoman, I am supposed to keep my personal beliefs to myself, but I have never been a party-over-principles type of person. I have always been a principles-over-party individual,” she said in October, according to CNBC. She made the statement as part of her criticism of then-Rep. Joe Heck, who was running for the Senate, for disavowing Trump over his 2005 comments that women would let him doing whatever he wants because he was a star.
If that doesn’t scream psychopath, I don’t know what does. For someone to wish death upon another individual proves how disconnected and disgusting Trump-supporting Republicans are.
