French President Tries Not To Laugh As Reporter Asks Trump About Imaginary Friend ‘Jim’ (VIDEO)

Amateur president Donald Trump appears to have made up a friend and in the past, he has also assumed the role of fictitious people such as John Barron and John Miller to represent him. Trump’s father used to pose as Mr. Green so perhaps that’s where the former reality show star picked up the strange habit of inventing characters.

No one can find ‘Jim,’ a man who Trump has referenced in order to slam Paris, making the city seem to be unlivable due to terrorism. Jim, Trump said, is “a very, very substantial guy” who used to love visiting Paris with his wife and kids. But now, this Jim fellow no longer visits the city of lights. “’Paris?” Jim replied, as relayed by Trump. “‘I don’t go there anymore. Paris is no longer Paris.’”

The only problem is that Jim doesn’t appear to exist.

A French reporter asked Trump, who was standing next to French President Emmanuel Macron, about his good friend “Jim.”

You’ve mentioned a friend, Jim, who told you that Paris is no longer Paris,” the reporter said. “You were implying at the time that Paris was not safe anymore.”

For his part, Macron held back from laughing, although, the smirk on his face speaks volumes.

You’ve also said that France and Germany are infected by terrorism and ‘it’s their fault because they let people enter their territory,’” the reporter continued. “Those are very strong words. Would you repeat them today? And do you still believe that France is not able to fight terrorism on its own territory?”

Trump, according to Business Insider, called the question “a beauty” and told Macron that “you better let me answer that one first.”

“You know what? It’s going to be just fine because you have a great president,” Trump said. “You have somebody that’s going to run this country right. And I would be willing to bet cause I think this is one of the great cities, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and you have a great leader now, you have a great president. You have a tough president.”

“He’s not going to be easy on people that are breaking the laws and people that show this tremendous violence,” Trump continued. “So I really have a feeling that you’re going to have a very peaceful and beautiful Paris. And I’m coming back.”

At that point, Trump  turned to Macron and said jokingly that “you better do a good job please, otherwise you’re going to make me look very bad.”

Macron replied to Trump, saying he is “always welcome” in France. Jim, however, could not be reached for comment.
