Everything You Need To Know About Trump’s New Communications Head Is In His Deleted Tweets

By now, the entire world knows that the bumbling, combative Sean Spicer has left as Donald Trump’s press secretary, and his own deputy press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, will now fill that roll. It also seems that Spicer left because of the hiring of Anthony Scaramucci as the new White House communications director.

Now, Scaramucci is a smooth, suave, polished guy compared to Spicer’s bombaste. He’s good-looking and easy in front of the camera. Everything Trump could want, right? Well, not so fast. It seems that Scaramucci – politically, at least – is NOT a great fit for this White House. The proof is all in his Twitter timeline. Or it was. He deleted the tweets. To his credit, he told everyone what he was doing, saying he now only lives to serve Trump:

However, thanks to screenshots, we know who the real Anthony Scaramucci is. He was, just four years ago, pro-choice, pro-marriage equality, in favor of gun control – you know, all of the stuff this White House would hate. He even went so far as to describe himself as “socially inclusive.” Here are the screenshots of those tweets:

There was also praise for Hillary Clinton, and hopes that she would be the 2016 Democratic nominee:

Then, of course, there was criticism of Donald Trump. In 2012, he called Trump a “spectacle,” likely talking about the birther nonsense:

At any rate, Scaramucci is a seriously odd choice for this job, given that he has criticized Trump in the past. Trump’s ego cannot take criticism. Combine that with the bigotry of this White House, and Scaramucci’s quite recent socially progressive views, praise for Hillary Clinton, and policy positions that are at ridiculous odds with the likes of Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, Sebastian Gorka, Mike Pence, and of course Trump himself.

Could it be that Trump is so desperate that no one wants to work in this scandal-ridden White House, that he had no choice but to hire someone, who, for all intents and purposes, hardly belongs in this White House? We’ll never know. No one knows why a crazy person like Trump would do what he does.

All I know is that it should be interesting to see what kind of influence Scaramucci will have.
