Donald Trump Won’t Stop Attacking Mika Brzezinski On Twitter (TWEETS)

On Friday, Donald Trump hopped on Twitter to offer a heartfelt apology to MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski for his downright reprehensible remarks about her intelligence and face.

Oh, did we say “apology?” We meant to say that he continued to be a f*cking terrible human being. Trump responded to criticism of his terrible Thursday remarks by calling “Morning Joe” FAKE NEWS and attacking its ratings.

“Watched low rated for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS,” Mister 45 tweeted. “He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show.”

What actually happened, as Mika and her husband-to-be, Joe Scarborough, explained in a Washington Post op-ed was that Trump threatened them with a negative story in the gossip rag:

The president’s unhealthy obsession with our show has been in the public record for months, and we are seldom surprised by his posting nasty tweets about us. During the campaign, the Republican nominee called Mika “neurotic” and promised to attack us personally after the campaign ended. This year, top White House staff members warned that the National Enquirer was planning to publish a negative article about us unless we begged the president to have the story spiked. We ignored their desperate pleas.

The president’s unhealthy obsession with “Morning Joe” does not serve the best interests of either his mental state or the country he runs. Despite his constant claims that he no longer watches the show, the president’s closest advisers tell us otherwise. That is unfortunate. We believe it would be better for America and the rest of the world if he would keep his 60-inch-plus flat-screen TV tuned to “Fox & Friends.”

“We got a call that, ‘Hey, the National Enquirer is going to run a negative story against you guys.’ And it was — Donald is friends, the president is friends with the guy that runs the National Enquirer. And they said, ‘If you call the president up and you apologize for your coverage, then he will pick up the phone and basically spike this story,’” Scarborough elaborated during Friday’s show. “I will just say, three people at the very top of the administration calling me … I don’t know what they have. Run a story? I’m not going to do it. The calls kept coming. And kept coming. And they were like, ‘Call. You need to call. Please call. Come on, Joe. Just pick up the phone and call him.’”

“It’s blackmail,” Mika said. “And let me explain what they were threatening. They were calling my children. They were calling close friends … And our response talking to my ex-husband and Joe and my kids was screw it, let them run it. Go ahead and run it, we’re not calling.”

Naturally, Americans are disguested:

Donald Trump is an embarrassment. It’s no wonder the world has ceased to take us seriously.
