Bruce Springsteen Informs Working Class Trump Voters That They Got Duped

Donald Trump’s supporters are going to wake up one day within the next four years and realize that they got played.

Legendary rock star Bruce Springsteen warned of that and more during a conversation with Marc Maron.

Springsteen was quick to express his utter disgust that Trump is about to take over the White House, but he admitted that he feels his fear outweighs his disgust because of the incompetence Trump has repeatedly demonstrated.

“I’ve felt disgust before, but never the kind of fear that you feel now,” Springsteen said. “It’s as simple as the fear of, is someone simply competent enough to do this particular job? Do they simply have the pure competence to be put in the position of such responsibility?”

Part of Springsteen’s fear is that Trump has emboldened racists to say and do un-American things that have been unacceptable in our civilized society for years, such as hate crimes, which spiked after Election Day.

“When you let that genie out of the bottle — bigotry, racism, intolerance — they don’t go back in the bottle that easily if they go back in at all. Whether it’s a rise in hate crimes, people feeling they have license to speak and behave in ways that previously were considered un-American and are un-American. That’s what he’s appealing to. My fears are that those things find a place in ordinary, civil society.”

And then Springsteen dropped a truth bomb on Trump’s working class supporters who actually think Trump is going to help them.

“I think if you were effected deeply by the industrialization, globalization, and the technological advances, and you have been left behind; and somebody comes along and tells you ‘I’m gonna bring all the jobs back. Don’t worry about it. They’re all coming back.’ You’re concerned about America changing, the browning of America ‘I’m gonna build a wall.’…These are all very simplistic, but very powerful and simple ideas. They’re lies. They can’t occur.”

In other words, Trump supporters were totally duped, and if they think they are struggling now, just wait until Trump actually takes office and Republicans get their rubber stamp to end Social Security, Medicare, Obamacare, Medicaid, and all the social programs in this country that contributed to creating a strong and vibrant middle class.

Again, these Trump supporters think Trump will bring back the American Dream, when in reality he is their worst nightmare.
