Senior White House officials are planning to replace Secretary of State Rex Tillerson with Mike Pompeo, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, within the next week, The New York Times reported on Thursday, citing all senior officials.
Chief of Staff John Kelly reportedly introduced the plan after noticing Trump’s relationship with Tillerson has been quite sour in recent months. Now, no one knows when and if Trump will put the final stamp of approval with this drastic change, but we can expect an update within the following week ahead.
Regardless how they rearrange the administration, Donald Trump is the real problem here. He is erratic, incompetent, and possibly insane. Until he’s gone, the only thing that will remain constant in the White House is total chaos.
It will be interesting to see how this plan unfolds, stay tuned for updates as this story is still breaking.
