BREAKING: Trump Caves To The Pressure, Finally Forced To Impose Sanctions On Russia

Months ago, Congress forced Donald Trump’s hand when it came to the Russian government’s interfering in the 2016 presidential election. Of course, we all know that Trump has been loath to even admit that Vladimir Putin’s Russia intervened in order to help him win the White House, and certainly he has never wanted to speak so much as one word against Putin or the Kremlin, no matter how egregious or unlawful the activities of the Russian Federation have been.

However, thanks to the fact that the Russians used a nerve agent to try to poison an ex-spy and his daughter on the soil of the United Kingdom — in full violation of international law — the United States was forced to act.

At first, it was just United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, who took a strong and decisive stance against the Russians and their attempts at murder. Then, late Wednesday night, the White House press shop released a statement condemning what the Russians had done. But, finally, on Thursday morning, Trump himself was finally forced to respond, as the United States and our allies have taken a such a strong stance against what the Russians are doing.

Trump will finally implement the long overdue sanctions that passed months ago with a veto-proof majority in Congress, due to what the Trump Administration is calling “destabilizing efforts” in the elections, by sanctioning 19 Russians and five Russian entities.

It’s a shame that it took a chemical attack on our closest ally for Trump to realize that Russia is a rogue actor who must be dealt with swiftly and severely. Further, this is likely just due to political pressure that he is doing anything at all.

Folks, we have a Russian agent in the White House. It’s about time we woke up and saw that, and removed him post haste, or we won’t have a republic left.
