It is a little late for the holidays (unless you celebrate Orthodox Christmas), but the one gift that you simply must get for your right-wing Obama hating relatives who long for the strong leadership of a Russian despot is the Vladimir Putin wall calendar.
No, we’re not making this up. The Russian newspaper Zvezdi I Soveti (Stars and Advice) has created a 2016 wall calendar featuring the Russian president that is certain to warm the hearts of any American righty who longs for a “strong decisive leader” while criticizing the despotism of Barack Obama. The calendar features the Russian president in a variety of poses, and some of them are downright, well, weird.
Reports are that the calendar, of which only 200,000 copies were printed, is just as popular as Putin himself among Russians. But don’t despair of seeing it. England’s Sky News has gotten images from it, some of which we are sharing here.
The cover looks like it came right out of an American political ad. “Hi, I’m Vlad. Let me tell you why I’d like to be your next president, Amerikanskis!”
In February, we see this rather uncomfortable looking shot of Putin ogling his horse. “My, you certainly are one fine-looking animal!”
March brings us this shot, showing that even the toughest of despots has a sensitive side. According to Sky News, the Putin quote of the month is “I like all Russian women. I personally believe that Russian women are the most talented and beautiful.”
Those looking for a little Putin cheesecake will not be disappointed. July brings us the shot below.
In November, Putin shows he’s a friend to animals as well as humans, as he cuddles a puppy. Awwwwwwww.
If you haven’t gotten your calendar yet, you may be out of luck. Reportedly they have been flying off the shelves in Russia, and you western scum are fortunate to see the images that we have brought you here.
You can see all of the calendar photos at Sky News.
